Again, the Israelites were disobedient to God; and He allowed the king of Canaan to oppress the Israelites. After twenty years of oppression, the Israelites asked God for help. The deliverers God provided were Deborah and Barak.
While serving the Israelites as a prophetess and judge, Deborah received an instruction from God that she was to inform Barak to assemble ten thousand men to receive the forces of the Canaanites that He would deliver into Barak’s hands. [Reflection based on the Bible Reference – Judges 4:4-7]
