God said to Samuel, “About this time tomorrow I will send a man from the land of Benjamin. Anoint him ruler over my people, Israel; he will deliver them from the hand of the Philistines."
The next day, as Samuel was on his way to the place of worship, Saul was approaching the city and God said to Samuel, “This is the man I spoke to you about, he will govern my people.”
During the course of that day and the next, Samuel and Saul talked about events that would happen over the next few days and Samuel anointed Saul in preparation for his kingship. [Reflection based on the Bible Reference – 1 Samuel 9:15-10:8]
