While in Mahanaim, following the defeat of Absalom’s army, David was waiting for the Israelites to welcome him back to Jerusalem and accept him as their king. Sheba, son of Bikri, a Benjamite, rallied the men of Israel against David; so, that the Israelites deserted David; but, the men of Judah remained with David from Mahanaim to Jerusalem.
