Born into an Israelite family and destined to be killed along with all Israelite male babies, Moses was placed into a basket among the reeds along the Nile River. Pharaoh’s daughter spotted the basket and its contents when she went to the Nile to bathe. The older sister, of Moses, (Miriam) asked if the princess would like a Hebrew woman to nurse the baby.
The Egyptian princess not only agreed; but, offered to pay the mother of Moses wages for caring for Moses. When Moses became older he was raised in the Egyptian court system. God had plans for Moses that would require leadership skills.
