Abraham saw three men approaching. He went out to meet them and offer a rest from their travel. As they rested, he brought them water to wash their feet and offered them something to eat. While they were eating, one of the guests, who was the Lord in human form, said to him, “I’ll come back about this time next year, and when I do, your wife, Sarah, will already have a son.
As the three men were leaving, Abraham walked part way with them. While they were walking, the Lord told Abraham of the wickedness in Sodom and Gomorrah and that these cities would be destroyed. Knowing that his nephew, Lot, lived in Sodom, Abraham asked the Lord for his safety. [Reflection based on the Bible Reference – Genesis 18:1-33]
