Both Joseph and Jacob were obedient to God. Jacob willing to go where God wanted him to go; and Joseph willing to protect and provide for God’s chosen family.
Led by the Spirit of God, Joseph arranged a meeting between his father, several brothers and Pharaoh, the king. Pharaoh instructed Joseph to select the best land in Egypt and arrange for Jacob’s family to settle in that region. Joseph selected the fertile land of Goshen in the Nile Delta.
