From early childhood Jacob loved to be around his mother. Not only did he enjoy watching and helping his mother cook, he knew his mother loved when he was with her. Even as he grew and became good at tending his father’s sheep, when he came in from the fields, they loved their time together.
As a parent, Rebekah loved both Jacob and Esau. But Esau was fascinated with hunting, as was his father Isaac. She saw less of Esau; but, was comforted by the attention she received from Jacob. [Reflection based on the Bible Reference – Genesis 25:27-28]
