“Moses, we’ve travelled three days since we crossed the Red Sea and we have no water. Our flocks and our children have no water to drink. You’ve brought us to this place called Marah, but the water is bitter. We can’t drink it. We need help or we will perish, the Israelites said.”
“God, we need your help. We’ve come to this place; but, the water is bitter. We can’t drink it, Moses prayed.” God directed Moses’ attention to a piece of wood and told Moses to throw it into the water. When Moses obeyed, the water became fit to drink.
